"I believe I would be suitable for the role of MYP. I say this because in the erratically changing political environment present era I am fully politically conscious and try to keep up to date with all news nationally and internationally. I have work experience with the MP of Wirral South Alisson McGovern of which I spent a week in her constituency office. This experience gave me the additional insight into the world of politics and our ever-changing world. If I was to be elected I would bring my oratorical skills alongside my political intuition to benefit the role of MYP. As the current chairman of Wirral Grammar school for boys council I realise the discrepancy in various age groups when dealing with issues revolving the political environment such as petitions involving exams, mental health and more. I talk to pupils from all years in my school about issues around my school that affect them. I want to help young people not only from my school but all across the Wirral as well. In doing so I would like to change the amount of say young people get for their futures particularly. This includes lowering the voting age to 16 just like Scotland as currently young people don’t have any say in the matter of how Brexit will alter their future and careers. My school has a political background with many MP’s having studies there. This included tow current members of parliament, Alisson McGovern and Justin Madders. The former Prime Minister Harold Wilson was the first head boy of my school. From my school many politicians have studies there and I believe this gives me good reason to say my school Wirral Grammar and my area will benefit with myself as their MYP."
