Wirral Youth Theatre and Youth Arts (WYT) provides a dynamic multi media participatory arts provision for young people in Wirral. WYT has a long history of providing high quality participatory arts with young people across Wirral and now offers an even wider range of opportunities for young people including:
A wide range of participative arts including dance, drama, music, technical theatre and new media
Peer education training and work placements
Work-based training in a professional theatre setting
Accredited training including OCN, V50 and ARTS AWARD
Outreach provision in Youth Hubs, Youth Clubs and with a range of other youth based organisations
Issue-based touring theatre for youth projects and schools
External commissions
DVD and resource packs for professionals
All this work is underpinned by National Youth Work Standards and the objectives of Every Child Matters which aims to ensure that young people are healthy, stay safe, enjoy and achieve, make a positive contribution and achieve social and economic well-being. Excellent partnerships have been developed with other statutory and voluntary services for young people, to allow us to reach the broadest range of young people and best meet their needs.
