Organisers of Youthfest 2012 have organised last minute ticket sales at the Solar Campus (old St George's Middle School), Leasowe Road, between 9am and 5pm on Friday June 29, the day before this weekend's festival. Tickets, priced £5, will still be available from 2pm on Saturday at the performance area in Birkenhead Park but this gives local teenagers (the event is exclusively for 13-19 year olds) a final chance to buy them in advance. Wirral's Guardians kick off a busy summer when they officially launch their new single 'New World Order' on Friday June 22 at Liverpool's 02 Academy. The band will be touring with fellow Wallasey rockers The Blackhand in July and August - literally getting in a van and doing dates in London, the Midlands, South Wales and the North East.
