Are you in an up and coming band? Are you aged between 13 and 19?
Would you like the chance to play at a festival in front of hundreds of other teenagers?
Youthfest 2012 is coming, and the hunt is on for the best four bands in the borough to join the bill.
We're looking for bands made up primarily of 13-19 year olds, playing any genre of music, ready to perform a set of at least 20 minutes of their own music.
We'll be running four Battle of the Bands events at our Youth Hubs across Wirral in April – our judging panel will then choose one act from each event who they think deserves a place on the Youthfest bill.
Councillor Sheila Clarke, Cabinet Member for Children's Services and Lifelong Learning said: "Last year's Youthfest was an enormous success and this year we are hoping to attract hundreds more young people to the event.
"As well as giving young people the chance to perform in front of their peers Youthfest provides a great showcase of the talent of the next generation."
Youthfest is organised by Wirral Council's Universal Youth Support Service (formerly the Youth & Play Service).
Youthfest 2012 will be held on 30 June, and will feature two larger headline acts as well as the four chosen local acts. The festival is open exclusively to 13 to 19 year olds.
